Additional information

The substance is an organic compound and at 20 °C and 1013 hPa it is a blue powder. Using the laser light scattering method, the mass median diameter value for its particles was found to be 24.7 µm.

The evaluation of thermal properties was based on a DSC analysis: a melting point and a boiling point were not detected; the substance decomposes between 210 °C and 294 °C.

The relative density value found using a pycnometer method was 1.339 at 20 °C.

The substance is soluble in water at room temperature and it forms a stable solution with water. The average water solubility value was 34.23 g/l at 20 °C and at pH 2.59.

The Pow value is 0.0199 is the log Pow value was -1.3837. These results were obtained at 20 °C and at pH 4.92.

The substance is non auto-flammable and it is found to be non flammable during the reference test.

No reactions with water or emission of flammable gases have ever been noted. Furthermore, for soluble dyes a reaction with water is not a desirable property from the use point of view. Therefore, the substance is not expected as a substance that in contact with water may react emitting flammable gases.

The substance does not contain chemical groups associated with explosive properties and is considered to be non explosive and incapable of reacting exothermically with combustible materials, also on the basis of its thermal properties.
