Description of key information

No toxic effects up to the water solubility limit for aquatic invertebrates (< 1 mg/L; OECD 202).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

One study report, investigating the short-term toxicity to Daphnia magna of fatty acids, C16-18 (even numbered) and C16-18-unsatd. (even numbered), triesters with trimethylolpropane (CAS 68002-79-9), is available (Gode and Mühlberg, 2002). This study according to OECD 202 determined an EC50 (48 h) > 1000 mg/L (nominal). Therefore, the substance is not harmful to aquatic invertebrates.
