Stability

Hydrolysis

In accordance with column 2 of REACH Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006, Annex VIII, Section 9.2.2.1, a study on hydrolysis does not need to be conducted if the substance is readily biodegradable. Since the ready biodegradability of the test substance was proven (please refer to IUCLID section 5.2.1), an experimental investigation of its hydrolytic properties was not considered necessary.

Biodegradation

Biodegradation in water: screening test:

The ready biodegradability of the test substance was investigated according to the OECD guideline 301 D – Closed Bottle Test (1992). The test item reached 81 % degradation after 21 days. The test item is regarded to be in the 10-d-window and after 28 days readily biodegradable. Furthermore, the test substance showed no inhibitory effect on the microorganisms.

Transport and distribution

Adsorption/desorption

In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex VIII, the adsorption/desorption study (required in section 9.3.1) does not need to be conducted if the substance and its relevant degradation products decompose rapidly. As the substance is readily biodegradable no testing is necessary.

Henry's law constant

The Henry's law constant was calculated to be 54.07 Pa m3/mol at 25 °C (calculated by HENRYWIN v3.20).
