Additional information

In the primary irritation test very slight erythema (value 1) was observed in all 3 rabbits at the first reading (1 hour). No other signs of primary skin irritation were detected according to the OECD rating. According to the results of these studies the test material is not to be classified as irritant.

In the primary eye irritation test very slight irritation of the conjunctivae (value 1) was observed in all 3 rabbits 1 hour after instillation. No other signs of primary eye irritation according to the OECD rating were observed.

According to the results of these studies the test material is not to be classified as irritant.

Justification for classification or non-classification

There are conclusive but not sufficient data for classification of Isobutyrophenone with regard to skin or eye irritation.

Isobutyrophenone is not classified for this endpoint in accordance to Directive 67/548/EEC or the CLP Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 as well as GHS regulations.
