Endpoint:
water solubility
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Reliability:
2 (reliable with restrictions)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
other: Information from published review article in peer reviewed literature, minor restrictions in design and/or reporting but otherwise adequate for assessment.
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 105 (Water Solubility)
GLP compliance:
not specified
Type of method:
flask method
Water solubility:
0.011 mg/L
Temp.:
20 °C
pH:
4.2
Remarks on result:
other: +/- 0.0005 g/L
Details on results:
In some cases the PGM concentrations measured by ICP-OES showed a tendency of increasing values at each equilibration time. If the last two vessels varied by less than 15%, the test was deemed satisfactory. If the last two vessels varied by more than 15% then the analysis was repeated with longer equilibration times until the criteria was met.
Conclusions:
The water solubility of bis(acetylacetonato)palladium (II) was reported as 0.0111 g/L at 20°C
Executive summary:

Information from published review article in peer reviewed literature, minor restrictions in design and/or reporting but otherwise adequate for assessment. The water solubility of bis(acetylacetonatio)palladium (II) was reported as 0.0111 g/L at 20°C.

Description of key information

The water solubility of Palladium (II) di(4-oxopent-2-en-2-oate) was reported as 0.0111 g/L at 20°C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Water solubility:
0.011 g/L
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

The paper Gregory (2014) is a published review article in peer reviewed literature and water solubility was determined following OECD guideline 105. The water solubility of palladium (II) di(4 -oxopent-2 -en-2 -oate) was reported as 0.0111 g/L at 20°C.
