Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The density of the test substance at 25°C was 1.24 x 10³ kg/m³ resulting in a relative denisity of 1.24. It was determined that the difference in temperature between 20°C and normal laboratory conditions did not have a significant effect on the determined density.

Additional information

A pycnometer was used for the determination of the density and relative density. The density of the test substance at 25 ºC was 1.24 x 10³ kg/m. The relative density was 1.24. It is acknowledged that the volume and hence denisty of a substance may vary with temperature however such variance, especially over a small temperature range, is typically negligible for solids. It was determined that the difference in temperature between 20°C and normal laboratory conditions did not have a significant effect on the determined density. It should be noted that this density represents that of the dry, pure salt of the substance; whereas the substance is manufactured/sold/used in the form of aqueous solutions, the density of which will be different than reported here.
