In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex IX, information requirement 9.4.2 (effects on terrestrial organisms - effects on soil microorganisms), the study does not need to be conducted if direct and indirect exposure of the soil compartment is unlikely.
Direct and indirect exposure of the soil compartment is unlikely and so it is considered justified to omit this study.

Description of key information

In accordance with section 9.4 of Column 2 of REACH Annex IX, studies to investigate effects on terrestrial organisms do not need to be conducted if direct and indirect exposure of the soil compartment is unlikely. Furthermore, the Chemical Safety Assessment does not indicate a need for such further studies. Therefore, it is considered justified to omit this study.
