Administrative data

First-aid measures

- General information: Immediately remove any clothing soiled by the product.

- After inhalation: Supply fresh air. Seek medical treatment in case of complaints.

- After skin contact: Immediately wash with water and soap and rinse throughly. If skin irritation continues, consult a doctor.

- After eye contact: Rinse opened eye for several minutes under running water. Then consult a doctor.

- After swallowing: If swallowed, rinse mouth with water (only if the person is conscious). Drink plenty of water and provide fresh air. Do not induce vomiting; call for medical help immediately.

Fire-fighting measures

- Suitable extinguishing agents: Carbon dioxide. Foam. Fire-extinguishing powder. Water spray.

- Special hazards caused by the substance, its products of combustion or resulting gases: In case of fire, the following can be released: Carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide. Toxic metal oxide smoke.

- Protective equipment: Wear fully protective suit. Wear self-contained respiratory protective device. Do not inhale explosion gases or combustion gases.

- Additional information: Dispose of fire debris and contaminated fire fighting water in accordance with official regulations.

Accidental release measures

- Person-related safety precautions: Wear protective equipment. Keep unauthorised persons away. Avoid formation of dust. Wear protective clothing. Avoid contact with the eyes and skin. Use respiratory protective device against the effects of fumes/dust/aerosol. Keep away from ignition sources.

- Measures for environmental protection: Do not allow to enter sewers/surface or ground water. Inform respective authorities in case of seepage

into water course of sewage system.

- Measures for cleaning/collecting: Pick up mechanically. Avoid formation of dust. Dispose of the material collected according to regulations.

Handling and storage

- General precautionary handling measures:

- Information for safe handling: Wear protective clothing. Avoid contact with the eye and skin. Ensure good ventilation/exhaustion at the workplace. Open and handle receptacle with care. Precent formation of dust.

- Information about fire - and explosion protection: Keep ignition sources away - Do not smoke. Protect from heat.

- Storage:

- Requirements to be met by storerooms and receptacles: Store in cool, dry conditions in well sealed receptacles.

- Information about storage in one common storage facility: Keep away from ignition sources.

- Further information about storage conditions: Keep container tightly sealed. Store receptacle in a well ventilated area.

Exposure controls / personal protection

- Additional information about design of technical facilities: Ensure good ventilation/exhaustion at the workplace.

- Personal protective equipment:

- General protective and hygienic measures: Do not eat, drink, smoke or sniff while working. Wash hands before breaks and at the end of work. Avoid contact with the eyes and skin. Do not inhale dust/ smoke/ mist. As a general protective measure, the use skin protection cream for skin protection is recommended.

- Respiratory protection: Recommended filter device for short term use during special procedures - Filter P3. Filter FFP3.

- Protection of hands: As a general protective measure, the use of protective gloves is recommended

- Material of gloves: Butyl rubber, BR. Nitrile rubber, NBR. Wear gloves for the protection against mechanical hazards according to EN 388. PVC

gloves.

- Penetration time of glove material: The exact break trough time has to be found out by the manufacturer of the protective gloves and has to be

observed.

- Eye protection: As a general preventive measure, the use of goggles is recommended

- Body protection: Protective work clothing

Stability and reactivity

- Thermal decomposition / conditions to be avoided: No decomposition if used and stored according to specifications. Visible decomposition with

spontaneous ignition on heating. Protect from heat and direct sunlight.

- Dangerous reactions: Reacts with strong acids.

- Dangerous decomposition products: Carbon oxide nickel

Disposal considerations

- Product:

- Recommendation: Must be specially treated adhering to official regulations.

- Uncleaned packaging:

- Recommendation: Packagings that may not be cleansed are to be disposed of in the same manner as the product. Disposal must be made according to official regulations.
