Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

The energy release in the DSC-measurements was above 500 J/g, therefore, the main test had tobe carried out.

Mechanical sensitivity (friction):

No eplosion occutred within 6 tests using a pinload of 360 N. All tests showed a discolouration of the test item after the test.

Mechanical sensitivity (shock)

No explosion within 6 tests using a mass of 10 kg falling from a height of 0.4 m was observed.

Thermal sensitivity

Three tests were performed with a circular nozzle plate with a hole of 2 mm diameter.

 Test #  weight of test item [g] Nozzle width [mm]   t1 [s]  t2 [s]  reaction  appearance, # of fragments
 1  20.5  2.0  26  > 300  flame *
 2  20.4   2.0  30    > 300   flame  *
 3    20.4   2.0  28    > 300   flame  *

t1: time to any reaction, e.g. whistle or flame

t2: time to main reaction, eg, rupture of tube or flashing

* tube unchanged

The test item had no explosive properties in the sense of the European Commission Regulation (EC) No. 440/2008, Method A.14.

Interpretation of results:
