Description of key information

Short term toxicity tests are available for all the three tropic levels (fish, invertebrates and aquatic plants). In a key study with Daphnia magna, the 48-h EC50 of FAT 20013 was determined to be >100 mg/l. In the study conducted with fish, the TL50 of FAT 20013 was determined to be 6.5 mg/L, while in studies with bacteria, the IC50 of the substance was determined to be >300 mg/L. Further, in a key study with Lemna, the EC50 for FAT 20013, was 69 mg/L and the corresponding NOEC was reported to be 0.75 mg/L. Hence, based on the above results, FAT 20013 can be considered as toxic to aquatic life with long-lasting effects.
