Hydrolysis is not a relevant degradation pathway for the category members Fatty Acids in aquatic environment.

Additional information
Significant hydrolysis of the members of the category Fatty Acids is not expected based on the molecular structure (aliphatic and mostly saturated carbon chains). Furthermore, in accordance with column 2 of EC 1907/2006 Annex VIII 9.2.2.1 the testing is not required since the substance is readily biodegradable.
