Administrative data
First-aid measures
General Information:
If there is a risk of loss of consciousness, place and transport affected person in the recovery position. Remove affected person from the danger area and lay down. In case of accident or unwellness, seek medical advice immediately (show directions for use or safety data sheet if possible). Change contaminated, saturated clothing. In all cases of doubt, or when symptoms persist, seek medical advice.
In case of inhalation:
No special measures are necessary. In case of inhalation of decomposition products, affected person should be moved into fresh air and kept still.
In case of skin contact:
In case of skin reactions, consult a physician. Remove mechanically (e.g. dab away using wadding or cellulose material) then thoroughly wash the affected skin with a mild cleansing agent and water. After contact with skin, wash immediately with soap and plenty of water.
In case of eye contact:
In case of contact with eyes flush immediately with plenty of flowing water for 10 to 15 minutes holding eyelids apart and consult an opthalmologist.
In case of ingestion:
If accidentally swallowed rinse the mouth with plenty of water (only if the person is conscious) and obtain immediate medical attention.

Do not allow to enter into surface water or drains. Retain contaminated washing water and dispose it.

Treat the recovered material as prescribed in the section on waste disposal. Clean contaminated objects and areas thoroughly observing environmental regulations. Collect in closed and suitable containers for disposal.

Exposure controls / personal protection
General protective measures:
- Do not eat, drink, smoke or sniff while working. Wash hands before breaks and at the end of work.
- Avoid contact with eyes and skin.
Hygiene measures:
- Remove soiled or soaked clothing immediately and clean thoroughly before using again.
- Garments that cannot be cleaned must be destroyed (burnt).
- Keep away from foodstuffs and beverages.
- Clean hands and face during work intervals and after work.
- Avoid contact of the substance.
Hand protection:
- Suitable gloves type: Nitrile rubber applied on knitted cotton for mechanical stress. Before using check leak tightness / impermeability. Breakthrough times and swelling properties of the material must be taken into consideration. The quality of the protective gloves resistant to chemicals must be chosen as a function of the specific working place concentration and quantity of hazardous substances. Because this glove is used only for mechanical protection, the minimum breakthrough time and thickness are not relevant to safety. For special purposes, it is recommended to check the resistance to chemicals of the protective gloves mentioned above together with the supplier of these gloves. Gloves according to DIN EN 374.
