Toxicity to soil macroorganisms except arthropods

The acute toxicity of the test item to the worm Eisenia fetida was assessed in a 14 day test according to OECD guideline 207. The LC50 was determined to be 3260 mg/kg soil dw.

Toxicity to terrestrial plants

A study on terrestrial plants was conducted with the read across substance didecyldimethylammonium chloride (CAS 7173-51-5) according to OECD Guideline 208 using mustard (Brassica alba), mung bean (Phaseolus aureus) and wheat (Triticum aestivum) as test species. The EC50 were: 283 (mustard), 857 (wheat), >1280 mg/kg dw (mung).

Toxicity to soil microorganisms

The effects of the structural analogue substance didecyldimethylammonium chloride (CAS 7173-51-5) on Soil Microbial Community were investigated in a 28d study carried out in compliance of OECD 216 and 217 guidelines. The 28 -day NOEC was determined to be >1000 mg/kg soil dw.
