In Annex IX of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006, it is laid down that chronic tests shall be proposed by the registrant if the chemical safety assessment indicates the need to investigate further the effects on aquatic invertebrates.
Exposure scenario(s) developed in the Chemical Safety Report (attached in section 13.1) show that an invertebrate chronic test is not needed to demonstrate the safe use of the substance. Also, the long-term aquatic toxicity study on Daphnia (Annex IX, Section 9.1.5) shall be considered if the substance is poorly water soluble and the registered substance is soluble in water. Therefore, a chronic test in aquatic invertebrates is not provided.
