According to ECHA's "Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment, Chapter R.7a: Endpoint specific guidance", "the viscosity of fluids is environmentally relevant owing to the penetration of fluids into the soil and the harmful effect on the groundwater which may thus possibly be caused." This statement implies that the study on viscosity only needs to be conducted if the test item is a liquid. As test item 2-methyl-p-phenylenediamine is a solid at 20 °C the endpoint is suggested to get waived.
