Endpoint:
water solubility
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 105 (Water Solubility)
Deviations:
no
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method A.6 (Water Solubility)
Deviations:
no
GLP compliance:
yes (incl. QA statement)
Type of method:
flask method
Key result
Water solubility:
382 g/L
Temp.:
20 °C
pH:
8.52
Details on results:
The individual results for the determination at three consecutive sampling dates (0h-48h) do not differ by more than 15%. Therefore, a saturation of the water phase with the test item can be assumed and the water solubility is calculated as the mean value of the results between 0h and 48h.
Conclusions:
The water solubility of the test item in bidistilled water at 20 ± 0.5 ºC is determined to be 382 g/L. The average pH of the saturated solution was pH 8.52.
Executive summary:

The water solubility of the test item was determined according to OECD guideline 105 and EC method A.6. The water solubility of the test item in bidistilled water at 20 ± 0.5 ºC is determined to be 382 g/L. The average pH of the saturated solution was pH 8.52.
