In the human body Sulfadimidine is excreted in the urine in 2 days, 70% being in the form of the acetyl derivative.

As reported in HSDB Report of Sulfamethazine (synonym of Sulfadimidine) with reference to Reynolds, The Extra Pharmacopoeia. 28th ed. p. 1476, 1982 Sulfadimidine is readily absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and about 60 to 80% is bound to plasma albumin. After 330 mg oral administration the half life is 2.3 h. In the human body Sulfadimidine is excreted in the urine in 2 days, 70% being in the form of the acetyl derivative.
