As reported in HSDB Report of Sulfamethazine (synonym of Sulfadimidine) with reference to Osol et all, Remington's Pharmaceutical Sciences. 15th ed. Easton, Pennsylvania: Mack Publishing Co., 1975., p. 1110 the substance appears as white or yellowish white powder. This information is confirmed also in IARC Monographs, Vol.79, 2001, p.342 where Sulfamethazine is described as pale-yellow crystal (ref. Lide& Milne, Properties of Organic Compounds, Version 5.0, Boca Raton, FL, CRC Press, 1996).

Sulfadimidine could appear also as creamy-white powder or crystal from dioxan (ref. Lewis, Sax's Dangerous Properties of Industrial Materials. 10th ed. Volumes 1-3 New York, NY:John Wiley & Sons Inc., 1999., p. 3319 mentioned in HSDB Report of Sulfamethazine).
