Description of key information

EC50 (48 h): 3.2 mg/L based on immobilisation of Daphnia magna (OECD 202)

ErC50 (72 h): 3.1 mg/L based on growth inhibition of Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata (OECD 201)

ErC10 (72 h): 1.4 mg/L based on growth inhibition of Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata (OECD 201)

Additional information

Acute toxicity studies evaluating the toxicity of the substance to aquatic organisms are available for two different trophic levels. All studies were performed according to international guidelines and GLP. No specific sensitivity between the species tested was found since the effect concentrations were in the same range. Testing with aquatic invertebrates resulted in an EC50 (48 h) of 3.2 mg/L whereas an ErC50 (72 h) of 3.1 mg/L and an ErC10 (72 h) of 1.4 mg/L was determined for aquatic algae. All effect values were based on nominal concentrations since the measured concentrations were within the range of 80-120% of nominal.
