Description of key information

The EC50 (48 h) of FAT 41030/A to Daphnia magna was greater than the saturation concentration (> 100 mg/L nominal). The same is concluded for its structural analogue FAT 41045.

Additional information

The Acute toxicity of FAT 41030/A, a structural analogue of FAT 41045, to Daphnia magna was determined according to OECD 202, Part 1, and 92/69/EEC, Annex L 383 A, C.2. under GLP compliance. Both substances are very similar in their chemical structure and, as demonstrated, in a number of physicochemical properties. Therefore, the use of this study for read-across is considered to be appropriate.

No immobilisation of the Daphnia was recorded in the control and any of the test item concentrations. No sublethal effects were observed in the control and at any of the test item concentrations. Thus, the EC50(48 h) to Daphnia magna was greater than the saturation concentration (> 100 mg/L nominal).
