Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006, Column 2 of Annex X, section 9, toxicity tests on sediment organisms do not need to be investigated if the outcome of the chemical safety assessment shows no indication of risk on sediment organisms from exposure to the substance in question. The PNEC sediment has been derived using the equilibrium partitioning method. The risk characterization ratio (RCR) has demonstrated that there is no indication of risk i.e. PEC/PNEC sediment < 1 from current exposure conditions to the test substance.

Furthermore, the substance as well as its hydrolysis products is unlikely to pose a hazard to sediment organisms due to the absence of bioaccumulation potential (considering the low log kow) as well as the lack of classification for human health and environment.
