Administrative data

Endpoint:
oxidising liquids
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because there are no chemical groups present in the molecule which are associated with oxidising properties and hence, the classification procedure does not need to be applied

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
GHS criteria not met
Conclusions:
Linalyl Formate is incapable of causing fire or enhance the risk of fire when in contact with combustible material.
Executive summary:

A theoretical assessment based on chemical structure of the components in the formulation was carried out to assess the oxidising risk of the test substance. From the structural formula of Linalyl Formate, it can be concluded that the substance is not an oxidising substance. The substance does not have the functional groups associated with oxidising properties. The oxygen present in the molecule is linked to carbon and hydrogen atoms only. Linalyl Formate is incapable of causing fire or enhance the risk of fire when in contact with combustible material.
