Description of key information

Not highly flammable, EU Method A.10, Sárvári Z (2015)
The flammability (contact with water) and pyrophoric properties studies have been waived as negative predictions can be made from chemical structure and experience in use.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
non flammable

Additional information

The flammability of the test material was investigated under GLP conditions and in accordance with the standardised guideline EU Method A.10 (flammability – solids).

The ignition source used was the flame of a gas burner; applied to one end of the powder train until the powder ignited. The test was performed two times, both resulting in a negative response. As the test material did not ignite during the preliminary test, no further testing was required.

A test material is considered as highly flammable when the time of burning in any tests carried out according to the test procedure is less than 45 seconds; in the preliminary test, the test material could not ignited. Based on the results of the preliminary test, no main test was performed.

The test material did not ignite within 45 seconds, therefore the test material is considered not to be highly flammable.
