Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data

Endpoint:
oxidising solids
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is incapable of reacting exothermically with combustible materials
Justification for type of information:
JUSTIFICATION FOR DATA WAIVING
The organcic substance contains oxygen atoms chemically bonded to carbon and sulphur. One of the oxygen atoms of the sulphooxy group is also bonded to a nitrogen atom. The criterium for waiving as set in Appendix 6 of the UN Manual of Tests and Criteria 6th rev (i.e. the substance contains oxygen chemically bonded only to carbon or hydrogen) is not fulfilled. However oxidising properties are not expected for this substance based on a calculated oxygen balance of -205 (see endpoint 4.14). Furthermore, handlings with the substance (e.g flammability test) did not show the substance to be oxidizing.
