Endpoint:
flash point of flammable liquids
Data waiving:
study technically not feasible
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the flash point is only relevant to liquids and low melting point solids
Reason / purpose for cross-reference:
data waiving: supporting information

Description of key information

Based on EU method A.9, the flash-point is the lowest temperature, corrected to a pressure of 1013 hPa, at which a liquid evolves vapours, under the conditions defined in the test method, in such an amount that a flammable vapour/air mixture is produced in the test vessel. The substance is a solid powder at 25°C and 1013 hPa. In a DSC measurement up to 450°C, no melting is observed.
