Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Data on physical properties were obtained from a number of proprietary sources. The use of Klimisch codes (Klimisch et al., 1997) was extended to these sources and a reliability code was assigned. All the studies in this section were GLP compliant and followed OECD and EU methods. Therefore, all the studies used in this section were given a reliability rating of 1.

A review of the collated information indicates that the dilithium salts have a melting and boiling point at 101325 Pa of > 400°C, a relative density at 20°C of 1.29, a vapour pressure of <1.3 x 10-8Pa at 20°C and <2.9 x 10-8Pa at 25°C, a log partition coefficient, based on lithium, of -3.53 and, based on the organic component, of -2.1, a water solubility of 204 g/L at 20°C, a surface tension of 73.5 mN/m at 1 g/L and 20°C and are considered “not highly flammable”.

A number of end points were waived: particle size distribution, flash point, the explosive properties study and the oxidising properties.

On the basis of the available data, none of the substances would meet the criteria for classification for physical hazards.
