- PREPARATION AND APPLICATION OF TEST SOLUTION (especially for difficult test substances)
- Method: Test item for preparing the stock solution was weighed and transferred to a volumetric flask. Test medium was added up to the bench mark and the stock solution was homogenised by shaking and treated with 30 minutes of ultrasonication. The test solutions were prepared by diluting the stock solution with test medium.

The short-term toxicity to fish study was performed according to OECD 203 guideline under GLP conditions (Unger, 2017) In a 96 hours acute toxicity study, rainbow trouts (O. mykiss) were exposed to C14-16AS Na at nominal concentrations of 0 (control), 0.299, 0.657, 1.45, 3.18 and 7.0 mg/L. Seven organisms per test concentration were used. The 96h LC50 was 0.976 mg/L (nominal concentration). The analytical verified recovery of the test substance was above > 80%, which allows to report the result as a nominal value.
