Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
non flammable

Additional information

The flammability of the closely related source substance partially unsaturated TEA-Esterquat was investigated in a study conducted according to EU-Method A.10. A justification for read-across is given in the endpoint summary "Physical and chemical properties".

In a preliminary test, the test item could not be ignited with a flame. Therefore the main test was not necessary to be conducted.

Based on the results, the test substance is not a highly flammable solid in the sense of the consolidated version of Council Directive 67/548/EEC, Annex V, Method A.10 (Council Directive 92/69/EEC).

Justification for classification or non-classification

In a preliminary screening test according to EU method A.10., the flammability of the read-across substance partially unsaturated TEA-Esterquat was investigated. The test item could not be ignited with a flame. With this result the outcome of the screening test is negative and according to CLP classification criteria the substance is not classified.
