Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The applied concentrations of test substance were plotted against the resulting percentage inhibition observed. An EC50 value for Glycyl (GR34000A could not be estimated, but must be greater than the highest tested concentration (1000 mg/L).

Samples of activated sludge were exposed to Glycyl (GR34000A) at nominal concentrations ranging from 1.0 to 1000mg/L, and their respiration rates measured after 3 hours contact time. No significant inhibition was observed in the preliminary rangefinder test, some respiration rates were slightly elevated in the presence of test substance. Further experimentation was not considered necessary.

The EC50of the reference inhibitor, 3,5 -dichlorophenol, lay between 5and 30mg/L, indicating that the sludge used in this study was neither unusually sensitive nor abnormally robust.
