Bergamot oil is a Natural Complex Substance (NCS) with limonene, linalool and linalyl acetate as its main constituents (82%). Almost all known constituents, typically comprising 97.3 % of the composition of this NCS, are considered to be ready biodegradable substances. Therefore Bergamot Oil is considered to be readily biodegradable. For 2 substances, each typically present at 0.05%, no data on the biodegradation were available but there are no indications that they should be considered as Persistent.
