Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on the CLP Regulation (EC 1272/2008), substances, mixtures and articles are classified as an unstable explosive on the basis of the flowchart in Figure 2.1.2 of the CLP Regulation. The test methods are described in Part I of the UN Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods, Manual of Tests and Criteria.

Explosives, which are not classified as an unstable explosive, shall be classified in one of the six divisions based on Test Series 2 to 8 in Part I of the UN Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods, Manual of Tests and Criteria according to the results of the tests of explosibility, sensitiveness and thermal stability, laid down in Table 2.1.1 of CLP Regulation.

Based on the available data and known experience in handling and use, the substance is deemed not to be potentially explosive, therefore it is not classified.
