Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

hydrolysis

study technically not feasible
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is highly insoluble in water

Description of key information

Waiving in accordance with REACH Annex XI, Section 2.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In accordance with REACH Annex XI, Section 2, the study does not need to be conducted, because testing is technically not possible as a consequence of the properties of the submission substance (i.e. the substance is of very low water solubility). Hydrolysis as a function of pH (according to OECD 111) is applicable to substances for which an analytical method with sufficient accuracy and sensitivity is available, and it is applicable to compounds of sufficient solubility in water. The test cannot be conducted for the submission substance, because the concentrations are too low for detection (concentrations must be detected down to 10% or less of the initial concentration).
