Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

EC10 or NOEC for freshwater algae:
1.8 mg/L

Additional information

The toxicity of the test item to algae species was investigated under GLP conditions in an OECD 201 guideline study by Börschig & Härtel (2015) using Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata as test species. Algae were exposed to five nominal concentrations (10, 3.2, 1.0, 0.32 and 0.1 mg test item/L) and effects on yield and growth were determined after 72 h. Verification of test concentrations was performed using liquid chromatography. 91 – 101% of the nominal test concentrations were found at the start and 38 – 97% at the end of the test. Therefore, all reported biological results are related to the geometric mean measured test substance concentrations. The ErC50 (72 h) and ErC10 (72 h) values were determined to be 3.27 mg/L (95% CI 3.06 - 3.50) and 1.8 mg/L (95 % CI 1.39 - 2.36) (meas., geom. mean), respectively. Exponential growth was maintained in the control and all validity criteria were met.
