Description of key information
The target substance is not water soluble. WoE approach was used to evaluate the water solubility as in water the substance hydrolyzes immediately in a strong exothermic reaction into two components:
- Acetic acid CAS 64-19-4
- Adipic acid CAS 124-04-9.

Additional information
As the target substance is hydrolytically unstable, a complete hydrolysis will take place with no other final hydrolysis products than acetic acid (solubility 603 g/L @ 25 deg. C) and adipic acid (solubility 14.2 g/L @ 15 deg.C).
