Chronic toxicity data for 3-butyn-1-ol are not available. Tetrahymena pyriformis population growth impairment endpoint was used as a surrogate for fish lethality. Protozoa Tetrahymena pyriformis IGC50 (48 h) = 4,85E+03 mg/L. Available acute toxicity data on fish are all well above 1 mg/L (36 mg/L), indicating that acute toxicity to fish is not expected. However, no data on acute toxicity are available for crustacea and for algae or other aquatic plants.
