Description of key information

The relative self-ignition temperature of the test substance niobium pentachloride has been tested according to the Regulation 440/2008/EC, Method A.16. The substance did not show self-ignition up to a temperature of 400 °C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The substance has been heated to a maximum temperature of 400 °C at a rate of 0.5 °C/min. The temperature at the centre of the sample did not sharply rise above the oven temperature and no self-ignition occurred during the test.
