Description of key information

Based on the QSAR prediction done using the EPI Suite ECOSAR version 1.10, the 48 hours EC50 was estimated to be 219.949 mg/L on Daphnia Magna for substance 2-Naphthalenaminium, 7-hydroxy-8-[(2-methoxyphenyl)azo]-N,N,N-trimethyl-, chloride with immobilization effects. Thus based on this value it can be concluded that the substance can be classified as non hazardous as per the criteria of CLP regulation.

Additional information

Based on the QSAR prediction done using the EPI Suite ECOSAR version 1.10, the 48 hours EC50 was estimated to be 219.949 mg/L on Daphnia Magna for substance 2-Naphthalenaminium, 7-hydroxy-8-[(2-methoxyphenyl)azo]-N,N,N-trimethyl-, chloride with immobilization effects.

For a similar substance (CAS: 68391-32-2), based on the QSAR prediction done using the EPI Suite ECOSAR version 1.11, LC50 value was found to be 265.176 mg/l on Daphnia Magna for substance (8-((4-Amino-3-nitrophenyl)azo)-7-hydroxy-2-naphthyl)trimethylammonium chloride with immobilization effects.

For a similar substance (CAS: 26381-41-9), based on the QSAR prediction done using the EPI Suite ECOSAR version 1.10, the NOEC was estimated to be 78.421 mg/l on Daphnia Magna for substance 8-[(p-aminophenyl)azo]-7-hydroxy-2-naphthyl]trimethylammonium chloride.

Thus based on the above values for target and read across substances, it can be concluded that the substance, 2-Naphthalenaminium, 7-hydroxy-8-[(2-methoxyphenyl)azo]-N,N,N-trimethyl-, chloride, can be classified as non hazardous as per the criteria of CLP regulation.
