Description of key information
The viscosity of FC-72 is within the range 0.710 - 0.787 mPa∙s at 20.00 °C (Ubbelohde viscometer).

A viscosity of 0.707 mPa∙s at 20.32 °C (0.710 mPa∙s at 20.00 °C, interpolated) was reported for perfluoro-n-hexane. A viscosity of 0.786 mPa∙s at 20.21 °C (0.787 mPa∙s at 20.00 °C, interpolated) was reported for perfluoro-2-methylpentane. The data included in the report was for the purified components rather than for FC-72 itself. The publication did not specify whether a guideline was followed and the study was not conducted in accord with GLP guidelines; therefore, the results are considered reliable with restrictions. Another value for viscosity was found in a summary document on substance properties. However, due to few details available, it cannot be classified as to its reliability.
