Description of key information
No self ignition temperature of the test item was observed up to approximately 400°C

One GLP study was performed in order to determine the self-ignition temperature of MEXORYL SCK (also called MEXORY SBT) in compliance with the EU method A.16.
During this study, a sample of MEXORYL SCK was filled into a cube and heated in an oven. The temperatures of the oven and the sample were continuously recorded while the temperature of the oven was increased to approximately 400 °C. MEXORYL SCK showed no relevant exothermic reaction. MEXORYL SCK is not autoflammable, according to the criteria as described in the guideline. The atmospheric pressure during the measurement was 99.2 kPa.
As no self ignition temperature was observed up to 400°C, the result is expressed as a limit value, and cannot be retained as key data for purpose of CSA.
