Sample tested:
test mixture 1:1
Parameter:
mean pressure rise time
Result:
35.89 s
Remarks on result:
other: mean pressure rise time of two tests is 35.89 s. The mean pressure rise time of the tests 1, 2, 4, 6 and 7 can not be calculated for the test item because the pressure limit of 2070 kPag was not reached.
Sample tested:
reference mixture with 65% nitric acid + cellulose (1:1 ratio)
Remarks:

Parameter:
mean pressure rise time
Result:
5.2 s
Remarks on result:
other: tolerable range of ± 30 % (3.64 - 6.76 s)

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
GHS criteria not met
Conclusions:
The test substance has been determined to have no oxidising properties.
Executive summary:

The test substance has been determined to have no oxidising properties in a GLP study according to EU Method A.21 due to the fact that:

- the 1:1 mixture, by mass, of the test item and cellulose does not spontaneously ignite and

- the 1:1 mixture, by mass, of test item and cellulose has a mean pressure rise time higher than that of a 1:1 mixture, by mass, of 65 % nitric acid and cellulose.
