From assessment of similar sulphonated azo substances, there is no indication that CJ308 needs to be classified as hazardous to aquatic organisms on the basis of effects to aquatic invertebrates. Although some references, including literature, indicate a nominal figure of > 100 mg/l, the read-across candidate Reactive Black 5 recorded a, EC50of 560 mg/l. Although the side groups and types of salt could make a difference, the fact that the various substances assessed were all > 100 mg/l
