Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

0.905 - 0.96 g/cm³ at 20 °C

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The density (0.905 - 0.933 g/cm³) for the substance (CAS 85116-97-8) was determined with QSAR calculation (SPARC 4.6) for two representative components (C18 diester and C16 monoester, respectively). For the C18 diester component the value obtained from Chemspider (0.941 g/cm³) is higher.

A relative density of 0.96 was obtained for a third component (C18 monoester) from a New Zealand EPA Publication. For this same component, a calculation (0.934 g/cm³) based on ACD/PhysChem Suite was obtained from by Chemspider webpage.

Since values for comparison are all in the same range for the different components and in order to reflect all available data for the density, the overall density is deduced to be 0.905 – 0.96 g/cm² at 20 °C.
