Executive summary:

A study was conducted to determine the auto-ignition temperature according to the test method A.15. "auto-ignition temperature (liquids and gases)" as described in the annex of the Council Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of May 30, 2008. The practical test performance was based on the in-house test procedure VTA(S)23N07014.01. The determination was performed in a preheated 200 mL Erlenmeyer flask with at least three test series at atmospheric pressures of 1,008, 1,015 and 1,012 hPa on three consecutive days. It was observed visually or by temperature rise if an auto-ignition of a gas/air or vapour/air mixture occured under different temperatures. Under the study conditions, the test substance has an auto-ignition temperature of 440°C (Kintrup L, 2015).
