Description of key information

Testing for explosive and self-reactive properties, according to DSD and CLP criteria, waived based on screening procedures (study scientifically unjustified).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Explosiveness:
non explosive

Additional information

In accordance with column 2 of REACh Annex VII, the study does not need to be conducted if there are no chemical groups associated with explosive properties present in the molecule.

A reliable expert statement was provided to support the determination of explosive properties, and no additional testing is required according to Directive 67/548/EEC (DSD) criteria.

Based on similar asumptions, no testing is required either for classification according to Regulation (EC) N°1272/2008 (CLP) criteria, nor for self-reactive properties (CLP).

Justification for classification or non-classification

The substance is NOT classified as explosive according to DSD criteria, based on the structural formula (absence of critical groups, very low oxygen balance).

The substance is NOT classified as explosive according to CLP criteria, based on the structural formula (absence of critical groups).

The substance is NOT classified as self-reactive according to CLP criteria, based on the structural formula (absence of critical groups).
