Description of key information

The kinematic viscosity of the substance is determined to be 9.10 mm2/s at 20°C and 5.04 mm2/s at 40°C.
The dynamic viscosity of the substance is determined to be 8.38 mPa*s at 20°C and 4.57 mPa*s at 40°C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Two studies were conducted.

The BASF GLP study in accordance with the OECD Guideline for the Testing of Chemicals 114: "Viscosity of Liquids".using the capillary method, determined the dynamic viscosity to be 8.38 mPa*s at 20°C and 4.57 mPa*s at 40°C and the kinematic viscosity to be 9.10 mm2/s at 20°C and 5.04 mm2/s at 40°C.

International Specialty Products Inc. study also in accordance with the OECD Guideline for the Testing of Chemicals 114: "Viscosity of Liquids".using the rotational viscosimeter determined the viscosity to be 11 cP at 23 °C (corresponding 11 mPa*s). The values are in the same range. The value from the BASF GLP study was chosen as key value for the viscosity.
