Description of key information

The self-ignition temperature of the substance was determined to be 225 °C at 1013.25 hPa.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Autoflammability / Self-ignition temperature at 101 325 Pa:
225 °C

Additional information

Two GLP studies were conducted.

A BASF GLP study determined the self-ignition temperature in accordance with the EU Method A.15 (Auto-Ignition Temperature (Liquids and Gases)), carrying out the experiment in accordance with DIN 51794, to be 225 °C at 1013.25 hPa.

International Specialty Products Inc. study no. GFC 10/89390 determined the self-ignition temperature also accordance with the EU Method A.15 (Auto-Ignition Temperature (Liquids and Gases)) to be approx. 227 °C at 1028 hPa.

Both values are in the same range. The value from the BASF GLP study was chosen as key value for the self-ignition temperature.
