Conclusion on classification

Fish were found to be the most sensitive aquatic species. The acute aquatic toxicity (based on the lowest of the available toxicity values) is LC50 (14d) = 0.086 mg/L, the substance is not readily biodegradable, though low potential for bioaccumulation. 1,4 -dichlorobut-2 -ene is classified according to Directive 67/548/EEC as R50/53 and according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 as Acute and Chronic Category 1. The M-factor of 10 is assigned according to Table 4.1.3 Annex I Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008.
