Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Short-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates

In the acute immobilisation test with Daphnia magna (STRAUS), the effects of the test item were determined according to EU method C.2 (1992). The study was conducted under static conditions over a period of 48 h with a concentration of 50 and 100 mg/L (nominal). After 24 and 48 hours, the daphnids were observed for signs of immobility. As a result, an EC50 of > 102.2 mg/L (measured concentration based on TOC) was determined.

Toxicity to aquatic algae

In a static toxicity test with freshwater green algae Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata, the effects of the test item were determined according to OECD 201 (2011). The test was conducted over a period of 72 h with the nominal concentrations of 10.3, 25.6, 64.0, 160 and 400 mg/L, corresponding to the time weighted average test item concentrations of 4.25, 7.01, 53.6, 140 and 390 mg/L. Under the conditions of this test, the test substance was found to inhibit the growth of the green alga after 72 hours with an ErC50 of 206 mg/L (144 - 302) and an ErC10 of 44.5 mg/L (9.73 - 92.4), respectively (based on time weighted average test item concentration). The NOEC-value for inhibition of growth rate was 4.26 mg/L.
