Results and discussion

Pyrophoric solids
Test procedure:
ignition time on contact with air
Remarks:
Ignition on contact with air refers to either Pyrophoric solids or Pyrophoric liquids depending on physical state (migrated information).
Remarks on result:
no ignition on contact with air (not further specified)
Remarks:
corresponding to 'no' in migrated source record.

Remarks:
corresponding to 'no' in migrated source record.

Any other information on results incl. tables

ZP-TIX 1014 could not be ignited with a flame during the preliminary test (contact time of about 2 minutes). In contact with the ignition source, ZP-TIX 1014 melted immediately and a clear, colorless melt remained. No smoke or any change in color of the ignition source was observed.

Therefore no main test was performed.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
In conclusion, ZP-TIX 1014 is not "highly flammable" according to the criteria of the guideline.
Executive summary:

The determination of the flammability of the test item was performed in accordance with the EEC Directive 92/69, Part A, Methods for the determination of physico-chemical properties, A.10 "Flammability (solids)", EEC Publication No. L383, December 1992.
