flammable solids
Data waiving:
study technically not feasible
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is a liquid

Description of key information

According to ECHA's Guidance on Information requirements and chemical safety assessment, for liquids the primary value for ease of ignition is the flash point.

Furthermore, based on experience in handling and use of the test substance it can be excluded that the substance exerts pyrophoric behaviour or flammability on contact with water.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Justification for classification or non-classification

The test substance is a liquid with a flash point of 150.5°C measured at 1015.2 hPa (average and rounded down to nearest multiple of 0.5°C).

According to the results the test substance does not fulfil the GHS (CLP regulation 1272/2008) criteria to be classified as flammable liquid.
